  1. Logging into your chromebook

  2. Using the Key Pad on the Chromebook • The keypad on the Chromebook controls the mouse or cursor (arrow). • By moving your finger on the keypad, you move the mouse. Move the cursor to where you want it, then to select or click on something, you can either tap the keypad or click near the bottom of the keypad. • In order to use a scroll bar on the screen, place the cursor where you want it, click and hold, while dragging your finger down the keypad.

  3. Chromebook log in • You will be prompted to enter your email address, which is your username: graduationyearlastname@district41.org i.e. 14johnson@district41.org • Then, enter your password: lunch code and last name i.e. 8084johnson

  4. Once Logged In… • Students will be prompted to choose an icon. Choose one and click done.

  5. NEXT… • The following webpage will open. • In the address bar, type in www.one2onerisk.com to register for the insurance on the device.

  6. Insurance Registration • When you get to the homepage for One2One Risk, follow the prompts for registering the Chromebook. • In order to look up your child’s student ID number, go to www.district41.org and click on “To find your Student ID.” • Once you have this, you can continue registering the device. • When prompted to enter an email address and personal information, you will enter YOUR email address, NOT the student’s login email to the Chromebook.

  7. After you’re Finished with registering for insurance… • Close the web browser. • There will be a screen that comes up to accept the terms for using the Google Account. Click accept.

  8. Shutting Down… There are 2 ways to shut down the Chromebook. • Close the screen, and the computer will go to sleep. • Hold the power button down until the screen goes black and then close the screen.
