  7. Service elements lease & service concept (1) Customer specific analysis and problem evaluation: Systematic analysis of current status via on-site visits, interviews and standard questionaires. Problem verification and definition, elaboration of recommendations and development of a customer specific concept. Standardisation of existing Alpha systems (across sites/regions/countries) : Replacement of existing Alpha servers at different sites and locations to achieve a standardized environment resulting in easier manageability, lower cost and higher performance. Consolidation of existing Alpha servers where possible : Server centralisation at one or more larger sites/locations. Allocation and installation of necessary hard & software (lease-based) : No investments on behalf of the customer in standard hardware necessary. Allocation through lease & service concept via monthly fees.

  8. Service elements lease & service concept (2) Service & support with guaranteed response and recovery times (Europe) A system recovery time of max. 4 hours will be guaranteed. For this purpose pre-configured spare systems will be kept stand by at central locations. In case of failure the complete system will be replaced, no time consuming on-site debugging is necessary. As an option a recovery time of max. 1 hour can be guaranteed. For this purpose a second, completely identical and pre-configured spare system will be installed at the customer site. In case of failure the second system can be started immediately. Because of direct acceptance and immediate processing and response to the failure by experienced technicians – no automated answering service, no CALL CENTER – service quality for the customer is fundamentally better.

Service elements lease & service concept (3) Option Pro Active Service Surveillance of selected system parmeters of the Alpha servers (hard disc, storage, CPU, fan etc.) In case of passing a certain threshold or failure a pre-defined individual or group of individuals will be notified via Email and/or SMS. The technician on duty will agree on next steps with the customer. The agreed procedure depends on expected implications and operability of the server. The customer will be provided with a quarterly service analysis. All service incidents and procedures will be documented. The „pro active service“ option allows prevention of performance- and company-harming server failures and is one step further towards frictionless on-site procedures.
