  3. God Delights In His People • Psalm 149:1-4 • “His people” – an expression of His Fatherhood • Who are “His people” today? (John 1:12; Gal. 3:26) • He “takes” pleasure (Psalm 149:4)

God Delights In Those That Fear Him • Psalm 147:10-11 • Some say they fear nothing (Psalm 36:1-4) • Two kinds of fear Fear that is terror (Acts 13:26; Rom. 11:13-22; Phil. 2:12; Rom. 8:15; 1 John 4:18) Fear that is respect (Heb. 12:28-29) Think of God’s character (Psalm 147:5) Think of what God does in nature (Psalm 147:4, 8) Think of what God does for us • Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

  5. God Delights In Our Prayers • Proverbs 15:8 • The sacrifices of the wicked are many • I feel I am troubling God with my prayers (Jms4:2) • God hears, accepts and delights in our prayers

  6. Two Applications • God delights in the truthful (Prov. 12:22) • Psalm 58:3; Col. 3:9 • God abhors because Satan is father of lies (John 8:44) • Lying is the opposite of God’s nature (Titus 1:2) • God delights in integrity (Prov. 11:1)

  7. Conclusion God delights in His people. God delights in those that fear Him. God delights in our prayers. God delights in the truthful. God delights in integrity. Are You A Delight To The Lord?
