Ideas for Frame

Dr. Raymond Lynch PN4105 Process Technology 3 Ideas for Frame Chopper Style Bike Here are some ideas of bikes which I have retrieved from the Internet, I have decided to go with the chopper style bike as my design. I prefer this style as I feel it is more appealing to the eye. The round bar I feel gives an overall more attractive look and I can really see this being an enjoyable project. Orthographic Projections Here are some sketches of the bike during the design stages, these sketches firstly introduce my chosen frame and then introduce the fenders followed by the tank and seat. When designing my frame I felt the 16mm tube was a better choice for me. This means I can bend the frame in certain areas which I feel will look a lot cleaner than an angled cut. This in turn means less welding and more focus on the conceptual designs. Theme Here are images from the internet which help me to portray my theme. The theme I have chosen is : Wilkinson sword. In the first image I have the logo, My next two images are pictures of a chopper bike with a theme of Gillette fusion, I plan on using these images for the design of my tank and the body of my frame. The last image is of a Wilkinson sword razor which is just to help me with the colour scheme to use for my bike. I feel this theme is original and leaves me with a lot of options on which to expand on my creativity with this project. To the left is a quick sketch of my handle bar design, the handles are to represent the Wilkinson sword theme, also shown in the picture is a plan view of the positioning of the tank to the frame itself.
