  4. [4.11] Allah enjoins you concerning your children: The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females...

  5. [4:34] Men are the maintainers of women.Good women are obedient. For those from whom you fear desertion, admonish them, do not sleep with them, and beat them.

  8. Ayisha complained to Mohammad that many of her friends were “green”!

  9. [4.176] …if a man dies (and) he has no son and he has a sister, she shall have half of what he leaves…the male shall have the like of the portion of two females;

  22. [24:3] A female fornicator may not marrya believer.

  23. [24:6] Husbands who accuse wives of indecencyand have no witnesses may testify to theindecency four times, and it shall be accepted.

  24. [24:31] Believing women must cast down their looks and guard their private parts. They must wear head coverings and not display their “ornaments” except to their husbands, or male servants not having need of women.

  32. [33:51] You may put off whom you please,and you may take to you whom you please.

  41. The wives of the Prophet would go out at nightto relieve themselves. It was reported to Mohammad that they were seen. Mohammad then revealedthe verses of “Al-Hijab”, a complete bodycovering except for the eyes.(Bukhari [1.149] by Aisha)

  42. Mohammad said,“I have seen the Hell-fire and the majority of itsdwellers were women who were ungrateful.”(Bukhari [1.28] by Ibn Abbas)

  43. Mohammad said,“O women! I have seen the majority of thedwellers of Hell-fire and they are women because you curse frequently and are ungratefulto your husbands. I have not seen anyonemore deficient in intelligence and religionthan you!”(Bukhari [1.301] by Abu Said Al-Kundri)

  44. Mohammad said,“During her menses a woman can neither praynor fast. This is the deficiency in her intelligence!”(Bukhari [1.301] by Abu Said Al-Kundri)

  45. Mohammad said,“If the blood of menses falls on the garment, you must take hold of the blood spot,rub it, wash it with water, and then pray!”(Bukhari [1.304] by Abi Bakr)

  46. Mohammad said,“Cut off the hand of the woman whocommitted theft!”(Bukhari [3.816] by Urwa bin Az-Zubair)

  47. Mohammad said,“If you have no wives with you after battle,you are allowed to marry women with a temporary contract!”(Bukhari [3.820] by Abdullah)

  48. Mohammad said,“Those men are cursed who assume the manners ofwomen, and those women are cursed who assumethe manners of men!”(Bukhari [7.773] by Ibn Abbas)

  49. Mohammad said,“Cursed are those women who practice tatooing,and those who get themselves tatooed, andthose who get their face hairs removed, and thosewho create spaces between their teeth, and anyother features created by Allah!”(Bukhari [7.815] by Abdullah)

  50. Mohammad said,“Cursed is the woman who artificially lengthensher hair or someone else’s hair!”(Bukhari [7.817] by Aisha)
