  2. Almost all of the Apostles met with a violent death. They would not give up their mission, that Jesus had given them, and they paid the ultimate price. Find out about what happened to the Apostles Peter and Paul. To describe how early Christians were persecuted. To explain why they were persecuted To reflect upon how St Paul, and St Peter can be an example for us today.

  3. Paul 1. Look up Acts of the Apostles 9:20-22. Explain what was Paul preaching. 2. Acts 13:44-45 Why did the Jews want him to kill or arrest him ? 3. Look up 2 Corinthians 11:24- 28 What did Paul suffer during his travels and preaching? Answer the questions for one of the Apostles, looking up those references. Why do you think he was willing to go through so much? **Draw a picture what your Apostle suffered. Peter 1. Look up Acts of the Apostles 2:36. This is what Peter was preaching. Explain what he was saying in your own words. 2. Acts 5:12-18 (pay attention to vs.17-18) Why did the high priests arrest the apostles and Peter ? 3. Acts 12:1-4 What happened to the apostle James, the brother of John? Why did King Herod decide to arrest Peter as well ?
