  1. DATA WAREHOUSING ERRORS: 2012-2013

  2. Import Errors (Entering Level 0) • Import Errors: Module-specific errors. When importing demographic files, you get demographic-only import errors. • If manually importing text files into Level 0, these can be found at: Reports, Demographics (for example), and choose the district import errors bullet. • If using DataFlow these import errors will be found daily in your District Folder in SharePoint • Examples of these errors would include: • Bad Date formats • Wrong school year data • Data that is missing in required fields (i.e. district code of residence) • Etc. • These errors do not go into Level 0 until the error is corrected. • Importing a new “correct” text file will clear all import errors. This is because they have not loaded into Level 0. (Please see our Webinar recording for more information on importing text files and import errors): http://breeze.neric.org/p9k6v9q3o5w?launcher=false&fcsContent=true&pbMode=normal

  3. Information Report Warnings/Errors (Inside Level 0) • Can be found at: • Reports • Inf. Rpts. • Choose your module • Example of errors include, but are not limited to: • Cohort year different than what was reported in the previous year • 153 code is missing • BEDS day snapshot record is missing • Information Reports look at the previous year’s data in Level 0 looking for errors as well

  4. Verification Errors (Exiting Level 0) • Verification Errors: After all import errors have been cleared – run your verification errors. These errors are more sophisticated and are not module-specific (For example: verification errors look at enrollment records, and identify an error in Demographics)

  5. Level 0 to Level 1 Errors (Entering Level 1) • These are sent to you by us (NERIC) via e-mail • Usually date-related (i.e. Future date being reported or bad birth date)

  6. M2L1C (Move to Level 1C)(Exiting Level 1) • More sophisticated errors and errors not caught in Level 0. • Examples include, but are not limited to: • Invalid BEDS of location (where SED is comparing BEDS codes reported with valid BEDS codes in the SEDREF portal) • County code location being used for grades other than grade PS • An exit date other than 140 being used to end 4034 • Diploma type in demographics not matching what was reported in enrollment • A BAD location code being used for an approved GED program • A district code being used for an entry/exit enrollment code other than 4034/140 • Etc. • These will be found in your District Folder in SharePoint (Change from last school year (see our cheat sheet on how to get to your SharePoint District Folder) http://portal.neric.org/sites/services/DW/Documents/Cheat%20Sheets/SharePoint%20New%20Login%20Cheat%20Sheet.pdf • E-mails will be sent out over the listserv notifying you to check your District Folder in SharePoint for these errors
