Key Features Available to employees, these Self-Service HR modules will allow: • Secure, real-time, on-line access to key personnel information from your workstation, anytime • Employees to view personnel information • Employees to update personal information • Managers and Supervisors to view personnel information about their staff • Employees, Managers and Supervisors to establish performance plans, provide feedback, and appraise employee performance 2

  3. My Biz/My Workplace First Time Logon and CAC Registration • Begin at the DCPDS Portal page: https://compo.dcpds.cpms.osd.mil. Click ‘OK’ on the DOD Notice and Consent Banner page. Note: Ensure that your Common Access Card (CAC) is inserted into your CAC reader. • Review Department of Defense (DoD) Notice and Consent Banner and select the OK button to continue. Note: After selecting OK, the DCPDS Portal page displays. • Select the Smart Card Access Registration button.

  4. 1. Select your non-email certificate at the Select a Certification screen. • Select the OK button. • Enter your PIN and select the OK button. The DCPDS CAC Registration screen displays with your CAC Username. • Enter the following in the DCPDS Smart Card Registration region of the screen. • Social Security Number (SSN) (Use hyphens) • Confirm your SSN (Use hyphens) • Select the Register button. Under the DCPDS Smart Card Registration: Type your SSAN with Dashes in both boxes, then click ‘Register’ button.

Add Additional Application/Databases Window Once CAC is registered system should bring you back to the DCPDS Portal page so you can re-enter your SSAN with dashes in the Region association part to complete your logon to MyBiz/My Workplace and join your CAC with the ‘NGB Region’. This will only need to be done on your first/initial log on. If you do not see this page you may need to click on the ‘Add Additional Application/Database TAB that is located on the DPCDS Portal page.

  6. DCPDS News Letter Banner Page DCPS appear after you have set your region association. To continueDS News Banner Page should, click on the Continue button located in the top right or bottom right of the page.

  7. MYBIZ Navigator Page MyBIZ or My Workplace Home page will show up after you clicked the continue button. Your navigation page should show the MyBiz, My Workplace or both listed on the left side of the page. As you click on these the responsibilities will show up in the middle of the page. At a minimum, you must update your ‘Profile’ page with your email address, work phone number/address and update your ‘Emergency Contact’ TAB. Remember when opening the responsibilities you will need to accept the Privacy Act Statement that will pop-up when entering MyBiz or My Workplace.

  8. MYBIZ Navigator Page Here is the My Bizresponsibility. My Information contains the employee’s information. Update My Informationis the function used to update ethnicity and race information as well as foreign language proficiency. PAA is the function used by both employee and supervisor for interim review and feedback and the annual performance rating. The functions available to the employee user are provided in the middle area. There are 4 current functions available to the user.

  9. MYBIZ Navigator Page The area identified as “Favorites” is created for all new My Biz accounts and contains approximately seven links to websites of importance to the employee. For example, we have provided links to the TSP Home page and the Retirement Home page for CSRS or FERS. As we add new information, a new link will be added to this area providing navigation information for the employees.

  10. My Information Page This is a screen shot of the My Information page. From this page, the user can navigate to the other tabs and see various pieces of information relative to the tab selected. NOTE: SF50s are located in Personnel Actions.

  11. Update My Information Page (Review) You will need to update certain personal information that may change from time to time. This includes: • Phone Number, Email Address • Disability Codes • Language • Ethnicity and Race • Emergency Contact • Education, Training, Certification/Licenses Keeping this information up-to-date and accurate isimportant. You are in control of your own civilian personnel record! 11

  13. My Workplace My Workplace is a web-based Self-Service HR module that allows managers and supervisors access to information about their staff members. My Workplace allows you to: • View your employees’ personnel information 24/7 from your workstation • Establish performance plans • Provide feedback and appraise employee performance Once youlog-on to the system, you will be prompted to select a responsibility. As a manager or supervisor, you will select My Workplace. My Workplace Home Page • All Actions Awaiting Your Attention • My Employee Information

  14. My Workplace This screen depicts the My Workplace responsibility and the functions found within. Note the differences in the My Workplace functions as opposed to the My Biz functions. This is the area the manager/supervisor is expected to come to in order to process any work-related issues applicable to his/her employees. Normally, the “Favorites” area will contain all the same links provided to the My Biz user. However, in this case, the manager/supervisor chose to modify the area and remove some of the links. The My Employee Information area is where the manager/supervisor will view employees’ records. The Appraisals function is the door to the appraisal module the manager/supervisor will use to rate employees.

  15. My Workplace The manager/supervisor is identified and beneath his/her name are the employees he/she supervises. If one of these employees is a supervisor, there would be a similar symbol (circled in red) beside their name. The manager/supervisor identified below would be able to open those employee records as well.
