What is uKuda? • A blog-like website that allows users to share travel experiences and browse travel experiences of other users • Allows users to publish stories by destination • Allows users to pinpoint where they have been • Allows users to interact with each other • Allows search for places of destination • Location profile pages • User profile pages • Aimed at anyone who loves to travel, wants to travel, or both

Customer Feedback • Customers/users are people who wish to share their travel experiences and people who wish to read other people’s experiences • Roger Dunn (UCLA, Chemical Engineering, 2nd Year): • Global map with labels • Rating system for destinations • Top 10 lists – by ratings, hits, travelers, etc. • Cory McElrea (Principia , Theater, 2nd Year): • Google Maps integration • Check whether a user is local to a specific location

Customer Feedback, Continued • William Chen (UCLA, Electrical Engineering, 2nd Year): • Find people who are from the same locale as you who went to the places you want to travel to • Lino Gordon Valdivia Jr. II (Cal Poly SLO, Accounting/Information Systems, 2nd Year): • Discussion threads for different destinations • Ability to add photos and tag using photos • Links to businesses and websites where to book trips

  7. Requirements • User accounts • User profiles • Graphical map to pinpoint locations • Location profiles, including stories, reviews, etc. • Ability for users to upload photos, videos • Aesthetically pleasing • Search function

  8. Problems • Chicken and egg problem • Need users to get content, content to attract users • Google Maps integration • List of city names • A lot of cities in the world! • Learning Curve • Some of us are inexperienced with internet languages • Team Quarrels
