Ensure technical solutions can ‘talk to each other’ Improve VFM through shared services Improve the market Design performance management Define single approach to identity E-STRATEGY Encourage a knowledge sharing culture Underpin citizen centric approach Develop personalised learning … and identified that an overall framework was required

System Priorities • An integrated online information service for all citizens • Integrated online learning and personal support for children and learners • A collaborative approach to personalised learning activities • A good quality ICT training and support package for practitioners • A leadership development package for organisational capability in ICT • A common digital infrastructure to support transformation and reform

One of the necessary steps is to ensure Becta, working with the new Group, has the focus, capability and processes to help achieve this. • Four roles: • Strategic Adviser to DfES • Co-ordinator of the e-Strategy • Service Delivery • Impact • What do each of these mean in the new context?
