Who Is QAI? • What QAI Offers? • The Quality Assurance Institute was founded in 1980 in the United States of America. • QAI's founding objective was and remains to provide leadership in improving quality, productivity, and effective solutions for process management in the information services profession • It is a worldwide membership organization serving over 1000 corporate members, organized to share state-of-the-art methods, tools, and techniques

  11. What is a QAI Federation Chapter? • The Federation is composed of quality assurance organizations throughout the United States and in many countries worldwide. (Refer to Reference section for URL) • The overall goal of the QAI Federation of chapters is to provide a framework for IT QA / QC professionals to network with other individuals and to increase their knowledge and expertise in these areas. • As a result, the Institute strives to work with the chapters to promote that objective. Chapter meetings and programs provide an important opportunity for active participation of these professionals.

What is a QAI Federation Chapter? • The chapters have expressed the preference to organize their programs in a fashion that best meets their objectives • For this reason, there are no stringent prerequisites placed on a chapter as a part of the QAI Federation such as dues requirement or financial fees, etc.
