  2. Why Are We Here? • We are in this training session to be able to: • Identify a Flat Screen Garage table system, and describe its features and benefits • Find and use resources for Flat Screen Garage table systems • Specify and price a room of Flat Screen Garage tables

  3. Launch Update • FSG was launched this summer • To meet customer needs for flexibility and security when using flatscreen monitors • To maintain our leadership position • Programming issues have been resolved and the line is ready to sell • See FSG milestone sheet for status details

  4. Flatscreen Garage Key Benefits • System offers work space flexibility • Inside-unit storage of monitor, keyboard and mouse provide convenience and protection • Infrared remote locking/unlocking savestime for instructors

  5. Key Features—Product Line • Flat Screen garage system is its own product code—not InTandem! • Garages are not sold as separate accessories and are not offered on any other KI line • Line includes rectilinear single and double units, and a single ADA table on lockable casters • Target markets are C/U and Business (no GSA yet)

  6. Features—Worksurface • Sizes • 30-inch (typical) and 32-inch ADA depths available as standard • 36”, 42”, 48”, and 54” widths for single tables (incl. ADA) • 60”, 66”, and 72” widths for double units • Laminates follow InTandem offering for standard • Post formed and urethane edges (not all sizes) are standard

Features—Worksurface • A single grommet/PowerUp is available • 42”, 48”, and 54” single units located in the left upper corner • 66” and 72” double units located between the two garages • Grommet/Power Up and urethane trim colors: BL, GR, SA, WG • Standard InTandem powder coat colors are available; garage matches powder coat • Top infeeds are optional

  8. Features—Garage • Front and back are 16-gauge fabricated steel • Bottom is 14-gauge steel • Electric motor is enclosed in extruded aluminum • Main shelf features brackets to support the monitor and keyboard, and a tray for the mouse • A grommet through the back passes wiring into the trough

Features—Beams • Beam is a single piece of formed steel • End caps for beams are appropriately sided, and are are formed steel • 8-wire/4-circuit and non-powered beams are available • Beams allow for ganging and shared legs • Beams attach to the table underside with screws after IT installation is complete

  10. Features—Legs • Legs are InTandem with a MODIFIED vertical wire manager to accept the steel beam • Remainder of the leg is the same as InTandem, so the same footprint and assembly will apply • Legs may be shared • ADA legs feature locking casters to achieve 32” height

  11. Features—Electrical • Non-powered tables will require electrical strips (customer- or KI-supplied) • 8-wire/4-circuit is available • Hard-wire is not offered as standard • Floor or overhead infeeds may be used for all table sizes • Motor requires use of one circuit/receptacle per table

  12. Features—Accessories • Infrared receiver allows the system to receive a signal from the remote control unit • Infrared remote control allows the instructor to lock/unlock system and raise/lower all of the units • Student-operated up/down switch allows for individual height adjustment is NOT an accessory as it is standard with the system • Privacy and divider screens are available in 11”, 17”, and 23” heights on 30” depth tables only

Features—Electrical Accessories • Infrared receiver allows the system to receive a signal from the remote control unit • Infrared remote control allows the instructor to lock/unlock system and raise/lower all of the units • Small red switch on eye of receiver and in battery compartment of remote must be on same “A” or “B” switch for interfacing

Specifying • Like InTandem, FSG tables are specified separately • ITFW for work surfaces • Includes laminate top with cutout, garage unit, and lid • ITFL for legs • Special cutout for beam acceptance • ITFB for beams • Formed steel with limited accessibility • Screens, dividers, and other accessories will use existing part numbers whenever possible
