  2. Grammar 名詞子句 • (一)that 引導的名詞子句 • 結構:that 主詞+動詞…(語意完整;that是連接詞,本身沒有意義。) • 句型(1):作為受詞。 • 主詞+動詞+that 主詞+動詞… • 例: I know (that) you are right. • We hope (that) you can come to our party. • 句型(2): 作為主詞。That不可省略。 • That主詞+動詞… +動詞… • 例: That the sun rises in the east is true .

  3. 句型(3):放在形容詞後。 • 主詞+Be動詞+形容詞+that 主詞+動詞… • 例: He is afraid ( that) his parents will be angry. • We are sad(that) Miss Wang is sick. • (二)疑問詞wh-引導的名詞子句 • 結構:疑問詞wh-+主詞+動詞… • 句型(1):作為受詞。 • 主詞+動詞+(受詞)+疑問詞wh-+主詞+動詞… • 例: I know who you are . • Please tell me what time it is.

  4. 句型(2):作為主詞。 • 疑問詞wh-+主詞+動詞…+動詞… • 例: What he said is true. • (三) whether /if 引導的名詞子句 • 句型(1):作為受詞。 • 主詞+動詞+(受詞)+whether/if+主詞+動詞…(or not) • 例: I know whether you are right (or not). • 句型(2):作為主詞。 • Whether+主詞+動詞…(or not)+動詞… • 例: Whether he will come or not isn’t important.

  5. whether/if引導的名詞子句 • 直接問句改為間接問句,形成名詞子句。 • (1)疑問詞wh-引導的名詞子句 • (2)whether /if 引導的名詞子句 • 句型(1) • whether /if +主詞+Be動詞…(or not) • 例:Are you OK? • Please tell me whether/if you are OK (or not). • 例: Is Sam tired ? • Do you know whether/if Sam is tired (or not)?

  12. 注意!!so …that …的句型有時可與too…to…的句型互換。 • 例:I am too young to drive a car. • I am so young that I can’t drive a car. • 例:The boy is too short to reach the doorbell. • The boy is so short that he can’t reach the doorbell. • 例:The water is too hot for me to drink. • The water is so hot that I can’t drink it. • 例:He ran too slowly to catch the first bus. • He ran so slowly that he couldn’t catch the first bus.
