  7. What have you got? The Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games!

  8. The Winter Games are held every four years. In 2014, the eyes of the world were on Sochi, Russia.

  9. At a awe-inspiring 17.1 million km², Russia is the largest country in the world.

  10. It is so big that the country crosses 11 different time zones!

  11. Sochi is in the far west of Russia, on the Black Sea coast. It is a popular destination with Russian tourists who go to enjoy the sun, sea and beaches! Where is Sochi?

  12. The warm climate of Sochi may make it seem like a strange place for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games…

  13. However, the city is also at the base of the snowy Caucasus Mountains. At Sochi 2014, athletes could travel from the coast to the mountains in under 30 minutes.
