  2. Assessment Criteria You will be marked on 7 criteria • Criterion A: Use the Process Journal • Criterion B: Define the goal • Criterion C: Select sources • Criterion D: Apply information • Criterion E: Achieve the goal • Criterion F: Reflect on learning • Criterion G: Report the project

Criterion A: Use to Process Journal The process journal: • is used throughout the process • incorporates approaches to learning skills • can be in many formats to suit the student Where projects are included in samples for moderation or monitoring of assessment, the student will include extracts of the process journal with the report as evidence of level awarded

  4. Criterion B: Define to goal The evidence for this objective will be in your personal project report. • Onearea of interaction is the context for the project • Identifies a goal, how you will meet the goal (product or outcome) and details the specifications* that will be used to evaluate the product or outcome. You not required to detail the plan in the personal project report. The plan forms part of the process journal. *Mentors please refer to PP Glossary in Guide

Criterion C: Select sources You provide evidence for this objective in your personal project report, in these forms • the selection of varied, relevant sources to achieve the goal • the evaluation of sources through information literacy skills Evidence of the sources used is provided in the bibliography or reference list, as well as the report. The structure and accuracy of the bibliography or reference list is addressed in objective G.

Criterion D: Apply information You provide evidence for this objective in your personal project report by demonstrating • that you can transfer and apply information to make decisions, create solutions and develop understandings in connection with the project’s goal • how you explain decisions and application of information in the project report This objective also includes techniques as part of information researched in order to reach the projects' goal.

  7. Criterion E: Achieve the goal The product or outcome of the personal project is the evidence for this objective. You provide an evaluation of the product or outcome in the report to support the level awarded. • You will use the specifications you created at the start of their project to evaluate the outcome/product • You award a level for the quality of their outcome/product in collaboration with your supervisor This criterion is not moderated externally

  8. Criterion F: Reflect on learning You provide evidence for this objective in your personal project report. The reflection on learning relates to: • learning about the topic and the focus area of interaction • the student as learner, through approaches to learning

  9. Criterion G: Report the project You produce a report for your personal project, which follows the structure as defined in in your Personal Project Handbook. • You have the option of widening the choice of formats for reporting the project – written, oral, multi-media • This decision needs to be negotiated with the school
