  3. SIMON ELEMENTARY – THEN… • High staff turnover in testing grades • Lack of interest in new initiatives • Academic and behavior concerns • Costly PBIS systems too difficult to maintain and monitor • Inconsistent data tracking

  4. SIMON ELEMENTARY – In Progress • Evaluate data for academics and behavior • Establish a PBIS team from various disciplines • Establish and evaluate systems of support for staff and students (RTI) • Establish and adhere to scheduled meeting dates • Integration of services to meet the needs of all students • Key positions included in budget to establish culture and climate • SST process fully implemented as a resource for teachers (Tier 2)

  5. SIMON ELEMENTARY – NOW • PBIS Team is fully functional • Data is collected, evaluated, and utilized to make decisions for academic and behavior support (RTI for teachers and students) • Roar Buck schoolwide system

  6. Gradual release of PBIS components • On-going Professional Learning Community • Traditional mentoring program for students by teachers • Use of stakeholder survey to make improvements for overall school success
