  3. Global Reporting Initiative’s Vision: • The Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) vision is that disclosure on economic, environmental, and social performance become as commonplace and comparable as financial reporting, and as important to organizational success.

  4. So…What does that mean? • GRI is a network based organization • Pioneered the world’s most widely used reporting framework • Framework sets principles that organizations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performances.

  5. What are the reports used for? • Reports can be used to benchmark organizational performance with respect to laws, norms, codes, performance standards and voluntary initiatives • Demonstrate organizational commitment to sustainable development • Compare organizational performance over time
