  4. Character trait of the month • Good judgment – doing the right thing for yourself and others

  5. Book Fair Family Night • Thursday, Feb. 21 from 3-7 p.m. in the media center • Purchase books for home and your child’s teacher!

  6. February birthdays (Feb. 15-28)

  7. Celebrating Reading with Morehead City Primary School March is Celebrate Reading Month at MCPS

  8. Read Across America Day is coming March 1 • Celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday while listening to community leaders read!

  9. MONDAY, March 4th, students may wear sillysocks as they celebrate Fox in Socks. TUESDAY, March 5th, students may dress in the “career outfit” of their choice as they celebrate, Oh! The Places You’ll Go.

  10. WEDNESDAY, March 6th, is “wacky” day. Students may dress in silly outfits, backward shirts, mis-matched shoes, etc. as they show us what a Wacky Wednesday might look like.

  11. THURSDAY, March 7th, is School Spirit & Favorites Day. Students may dress in their MCPS shirt as they celebrate their favorite school and their favorite Dr. Seuss book. They may bring their personal copy to school or check out their favorite from our school library. FRIDAY, March 8th, is Cat in the Hat Day. Students may wear a crazy hat to honor The Cat in the Hat.

  12. A Special Family Night with Professional Storyteller Donna Washington March 13, 2013, 6:00 p.m. Hear wonderful stories told by this professional storyteller then hear from our teachers how parents can make stories come alive as they read to their children. Admission is free
