  2. About The Author • The author of the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series is Jeff Kinney. • He was born on January 1, 1971. • The place he was born is College Park, Maryland. • He is a male and he writes Children books. • The first book he every wrote was a comic strip called “Igdoof”.

  3. Setting • This book has very many settings like -Greg’s House -Greg’s School -Outside There are very many more but they are some of the most important ones. • This book takes place in present time.

  4. Characters • The main character of the story is Greg Heffley. • His best friend is Rowley • His older brother is Roderick • His dad is Frank • His younger brother is Manny • His mom is Susan • The girl Greg likes is Holly Hills

  5. Plot The plot of the story is about Greg Heffley trying to get though middle school. He tries to get this girl named Holly Hills to notice him. He tries to stop getting bullied. He also tries to make his mom try to workout. Lastly he tries to make his dad stop eating so much chocolate. So those are some of the things Greg tries to do.

  6. One of the conflicts of the story is that their bus route gets rerouted. So Greg and Rowley cant ride a bus to school anymore and they have to walk to school. The resolution to the conflict is that Greg’s mother can drive them to school. The problem with that is that her car has these embarrassing stickers on it. So she drops them off about a block away from the school. Conflict/Resolution

  7. Personal Book Review Personally I liked this book. I liked it because it is a good children's book and it is based on some stuff that can and can’t happen. I would recommend this book to people because it is a great book. It’s easy to read. It could be funny at times. Lastly it is also a easy way to build up your ARP points to so you can go to the auction.

  8. Theme The theme of the story is “ if you do something good something good will happen in return”. In the book this is theme is shown when Greg’s dad was going to send him to a military academy. In order for Greg to get out of going to the military academy he gets his dad out of embarrassing himself at Sean Snellas’s half birthday party.
