  2. On Monday, A posted a Letter to B offering to Sell A’s stereo system for $3000. Unknown to A, B was blind. B was unaware of the existence of the letter till it was read to him on Thursday by B’s friend C. B telephoned A and left a message on A’s answering message stating “I’ll buy it. But $3000 is rather a lot. Will you accept it for $2500.” On Wednesday, A had Emailed B stating, “If $3000 is too much I’ll accept $2500”. This Email was not read by B on his Braille reader till Friday Morning. On Friday afternoon B heard that A had sold the stereo system elsewhere. This was not correct. On Saturday, A posted a letter to B stating, “it is your for $2500”. This letter never arrived because it was lost in the post. On Sunday A decides to keep his stereo system. Advise the Parties.

  3. A advertised in his local newspaper offering a reward of $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the person who had burgled A’s house. B, who was unaware of the 0padvertisement, gave information to the police – pointing to D as the culprit. C who knew about the burglary, was being questioned in the police station, and he said “It was not me. It was D. When do I get the money?” Later that day the Police went to D’s house and arrested D for the burglary. Subsequently, D was convicted of burglary of A’s house. Advise the Parties.

  4. A went with B to a Pub and ordered fish and chips and two shots of Gin and Tonic. B order two shots of Jack Daniels and Coke and shared the fish and chips with A. That night, A became severely ill and was rushed to Hospital. At Hospital it was found that the Gin contained arsenic and that A had suffered from arsenic poisoning. Advise A.

  5. Ali agreed to buy Ben’s car provided Ben made certain modifications to the car’s engine. Ben agreed and Ali gave Ben a deposit of 10 per cent of the price. Ben made the modifications but, before he could inform Ali, the car was destroyed in a fire at Ben’s garage. Ben, who was uninsured, is demanding that Ali pay the agreed price for the car. Ali refuses to do this. He is demanding the return of his deposit and is threatening to sue Ben for non-delivery of the vehicle. Advise the parties
