  2. Geography

  3. The Tang Song dynasty at the peak of its time it stretched all the way to Tarim basin to the Korean peninsula. • The capital city was Chang’ an. It is found in about the middle of the city. There was over one million people that lived in the city at that time.

  4. Later on it was soon divided into 10 sections.

  5. Religion

  6. In the Tang Song dynasty there were two main religions. Buddhism and Daoism. • When emperor Taizong was emperor. He went to see the Buddhist sutra in India. • After his hard journey he made it their. Which he got 657 sutras. Which gradually got a mature system of ideology.

  7. Achievements

  8. One of their great achievements from the Tang and Song dynasty was the silk road which brought new people and ideas like astronomy and mathematics. A view more of Tang and Song dynasty achievements were the typograph, compass,and gunpowder. Gunpowder was developed rapidly.

The Tang and Song dynasties legal system had a set of rules to follow they had • basic criminal laws • institutional regulations • leaders rules • formulas documents • Imperial examination was when leaders tested subjects to become officers. The examination of the highest class was called national examination. The Tang dynasty had three departments and six ministries.

During the Tang and Song dynasties economy grew in size, complication, agriculture flourished, manufacturing, and trade grew. • Tang and song made the first paper money it began in the 700’s and the 800’s rather than using barter to keep track of wealth they used paper money. • Also the production of farm tools was more efficient witch made framing and agriculture more advanced.

  14. The Tang and Song dynasties were pretty much broken down into 3 groups Gentries wich were wealthy landowners and civil service. The next highest class was the peasants wich were mostly farmers who lived in small villages. The class lower than that was the merchants it is lower than the peasants because riches come from other peoples work not there own.
