  3. On March 1 • Generic Logins will end (student155/student) • Student document folder will be deleted. • All YOUR files will be deleted. • YOU are responsible for files

  4. Use Network Credentials(JCPS username & password) • Opens many JCPS accounts: • Email • Infinite Campus • SkyDrive Pro • JCPS Online • Use when creating new online accounts • Username & password provided by teacher

  5. Network Credentials ActivityLogging on to a Computer • User name – FMLAST## • First initial, middle initial, first 4 letters of last name, and a two digit number, usually 01 • Password – 0155FL#### • 0155, first initial, last initial, last 4 numbers of your student number – CAPS LOCK ON

  6. Email • Accessible at school, home & smart phones • Public accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) are blocked • Contact and share files with teachers, students, colleges, and employers

  7. Email Activity – Sending • Log on to www.outlook.com • Your email will be: First.last@stu.jefferson.kyschools.us • Send a teacher an email: First.last@jefferson.kyschools.us • Attach a file and send it

  8. Smart Saving using SkyDrive Pro • Transfer all files to SkyDrive Pro • Save new documents to SkyDrive Pro • Open saved documents in SkyDrive Pro • Don’t rely on flash drives or a computer’s hard drive Your files will be deleted on March 1!

  9. SkyDrive Pro • Save & Backup files • Upload & download files • Edit online or using MS Office • Share files with teachers & students • Accessible from home & smart phones

  10. SkyDrive Activity - Upload • Log in to webmail and click SkyDrive • Click FILES, click Upload Document • Browse to find document

  11. SkyDrive Activity - Editing • Open a file in SkyDrive • Click EDIT DOCUMENT and Edit in Word • Document will edit on the computer but will save in SkyDrive.

  12. SkyDrive Activity - Share • Click the lock • Click Invite • Enter email, a message, then Share

  13. Student Portal Activity - Grades • Go to the JCPS Homepage, click Students/Logins/Student Portal • Log on with JCPS credentials • First time password is “change.me”. Change it to be your JCPS password • Click the tabs for Schedule and Grades

  14. iPad Accounts • Email – Go to Settings/Mail>Add Account>Exchange • m.outlook.com is the Domain • SkyDrive – Open SkyDrive App & Login • Open SkyDrive Documents in iWork (Pages, Keynote, or Numbers) LOG OUT OF ALL ACCOUNTS WHEN FINISHED!

Tips & Tricks • Use your JCPS user name & password • Use JCPS Email • Use SkyDrive Pro • Create accounts using JCPS credentials • Delete your accounts on iPads • Use Infinite Campus Student Portal • Don’t print unnecessarily • Smart phones – add an Exchange account, use m.outlook.com as the server
