  8. The Winter Palace & The Hermitage Museum Fact: If you spent one minute at each exhibit, you will have to stay in the Hermitage for 11 years. The Winter Palace was home to the Russian Czars. It was built by Peter the Great for his daughter. The museum house over 2,800,000 works of art and other items.
