  2. How to Read the PVHS Transcript There are five parts to the transcript. 1. Student information such as name, address, student number, etc. Make sure this information is correct! 2. Courses, grades, and credits earned along with the year each was taken. 3. GPA 4. CST, CAHSEE, SAT and AP Test Results 5. Credit Summary

  3. Courses, Grades, and Credits Crs-ID All Courses have a specific ID. Course Title – The title of the course taken. Mark – The grade earned in the course. Att/Cmp – Credits attempted and credits completed. All classes are 5 credits. The student only gets credit if they pass the class. The A and Z block classes are year long and credit is issued after successful completion of Term 2 and 4.

  4. Courses, Grades, and Credits Credit Att– The possible credit for all courses taken in the term. Credit Cmp– Credits completed. A grade of A,B,C,D is 5 credits completed (includes + or -). A grade of F is zero credits completed. TGPA – Total GPA calculated using all classes taken and passed.

  5. Courses, Grades, and Credits Course Tags P College Prep – Courses that are approved by colleges for admission also called a-g requirements. + Honors – Grade is weighted. r Repeated – the grade will be replaced by the most recent grade. * Non-Academic

  6. GPA Weighted – Includes a higher value for each grade earned in AP and Honors classes. Non-Wgtd – non-weighted. This is the GPA when not using the weighed value but still includes the AP and Honors classes.

  7. GPA Acad GPA (9-12) – The cumulative GPA for grades 9-12. Academic GPA does not include PE. Acad GPA (10-12) – The cumulative GPA for all classes taken during the sophomore, junior, and senior years. It does not include PE. The weighted GPA is placed on college applications. Total GPA (9-12) – The total GPA for all classes taken for high school credits. Class Size – number of student currently attending PVHS in the same class level. Class Rank – Based on GPA. #1 would be the student or students with the highest GPA.

  8. CST, CAHSEE, AP, and SAT Test Results All test results are indicated in this section. SAT – 2400 max possible AP – 3 or above for college credit CST - 350 or above is considered proficient CAHSEE – Thisincludes Math and ELA results for CAHSEE. A score of 350 - 379 is passing and 380 or higher is proficient.

  9. Credit Summary Credit Req’d– The credits needed in each subject area to graduate. Compl– Credits completed for all terms. Needed – The number of credits still needed after all completed credits have been entered for all terms. The number of credits needed to graduate is 220.

  10. Credit Summary REMEMBER - To be on track to graduate: At the beginning of the sophomore year the student should have 50 or more credits completed, at the beginning of the junior year the student should have 100 or more credits completed, at the beginning of the senior year the student should have 160 or more credits completed.
