  2. 2010 Popcorn Campaign Key Dates Wed, September 10th Get order forms from Round Table Wed, September 17th Forms to Leaders with Instructions Fri, September 19st Order Due Sat, September 27th Pick up and Distribute Popcorn – Wallace House Sept 27th – Nov 1st Sales Period October 30th-31st Return Popcorn & $$$ and Prizes selected to Kernel Sat, November 1st Popcorn back to council – Mon, November 3rd “Take Orders” Due and Order Prize Selection Sat, November 22nd 3:00PM “Take Orders” Distribution – Wallace House Nov 22nd – Dec 12th “Take Orders” delivery and $$$ collection Fri, December 12th All $$$ due to Kernel Mon, December 15th Final check to council Mid December Prize distribution Red – Den Leader Obligations Black – Kernel Obligations – Wallace House->25 Sycamore Creek Drive, Springboro

  3. Why We Sell Popcorn • Defray costs • Spread Opportunities to participate as a scout • Spread Costs • Lower out-of-pocket expenses • Support Pack • Teach Scouts aspects of selling • Build Scout confidence

  4. Scout Targets • Based on 60 Scouts:=> 47! OK • Profit target is approx $6000=>$5714 • Last year (07) profit was $5000 = GOOD! • Sales/Scout needs to be +$300 • Last year (07) average sale/scout – $281.50 • This year (08) average sale/scout =>$433.70!!! • Last year (07) we sold $16,888 in product • This year (08) we sold $20,384 in product!!! • This year (08) our profit was $5,714 • This Year (08) average profit/scout -$121.58 GREAT EFFORT BY ALL ….HOWEVER……

  5. Webelos II Sales • Den 1 – Phoenix Patrol • Sold $7,356 or 37% of the total • Den 2 – Hawk Patrol • Sold $1,046 or 5% of the total • Den 10 – Panther Patrol • Sold $1,632 or 8% of the total 50% of total sales => 50% or $2,864 in profit

  6. Sales Winners • Cameron Wallace -> $3410 – Phoenix • Jeremy Chapman -> $1935 - Phoenix • Parker Myers -> $1511 - Phoenix However – Since all three scouts are Webelos II’s, the pack does not award outgoing scouts so this year’s sales winners are the new….

  7. 10 Popcorn Heroes • Third Place for $25 from the Pack • From Den x • Name who sold $xxx • Second Place for $50 from the Pack • From Den 6 • Trey Ramsey who sold $617 • First Place for $75 from the Pack • From Den 7 • Dawson Gale who sold $808

Pack News • Pack 34 sold the fifth highest amount of popcorn in Hopewell behind Pack 730 @ $23,226 • A Mystery House was found by Cameron Wallace • Blitz entries were submitted – no winners • Entries for CoCo Key were submitted • Fill a Sheet entries were submitted to both council and Trails-end (19 Scouts) • Entries for the $1500 award – Drawing for D&B + $50 gift card - submitted • Entry for the $2500 in Sales Scholarship from Trails-end – submitted
