  6. Which student are you? • Accelerated: Take and pass AP exam and receive college credit • Competitive Edge: Might opt to re-take college chemistry (end up tutoring everyone in their dorm) • Survival Insurance: Might not do well in college chemistry with only one year of high school chemistry

  7. EARNING CREDIT AT UT AUSTIN • A score of 4 or 5 on the AP exam or a score of 6 or 7 on the IB HL exam will give you credit for Chemistry 301, 302, and 204 (This is chemistry for science majors with a lab credit) • A score of 4 or 5 on the IB HL exam will give your credit for Chemistry 304K and 305 (5 only) (This is chemistry for non-science majors) • Be sure to research the credit policies of the schools you are applying to.
