KTF CDMA-GSM roaming • In a brief • Inbound : commercial service started as of January 2002 • Outbound : has been in commercial service since August 2000 • Via Hong Kong Hutchison roaming hub (over 100 countries) and • Direct service with GSM operator (more than 10 countries) • Phone rental (semi-automatic) • SMS roaming in service

KTF CDMA-GSM roaming(Cont’d) Handset • Inbound • SIM card loadable CDMA handset (Wide Telecom) • Handset rental at the airport • Outbound • Either Samsung or Nokia GSM phone • IMSI numbers are provided by the GSM association • Custom made SIM card (Schlumberger) • Handset and SIM card rental at the airport

  8. 1~2 Month later, Calling charges will be invoiced from KTF • Return the handset to the KTF Roaming Center • Rent a handset (KTF Global Roaming Center) • Return to Korea • Use the service • Leave for GSM network KTF CDMA-GSM Roaming service flow- Outbound

Insert visitor’s SIM card into the handset • 1~2 Month later, Calling charges will be invoiced from home operator • Entrance • Visit to KTF Global Roaming Center(airport booth) • Return the handset • Pay for daily rental charge ($1/day) • Rent a handset (KTF Global Roaming Center) • Use the service • (if necessary, call collect to 016-1583) KTF CDMA-GSM Roaming service flow-Inbound
