Build Your Dream House Standard: Solve problems involving scale drawings of geometric figures, including computing actual lengths and areas from scale drawing and reproducing a scale drawing at different scale. Represent three-dimensional figures using nets made up of rectangles and triangles, and sue the nets to find the surface area of these figures. Apply these techniques in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.

  2. Expectations of the Lesson • Students will stay on task and work toward the learning targets. • Students will work with peers using classroom voices.

  3. Must have • Students will work inside of the budjet for their floor plan of $250,000. • Students will produce a cost sheet for the material and items that reside in the home. • Dimensions for all rooms must be clearly labeled and square footage must be computed. • The plan must have a legend, key, or scale that indicates its relation to the real building.
