The largest filtration plant in Canada and one of the biggest of its kind in North America. • Treats water from two watersheds and includes a 16,000 HP pumping station, twin tunnels each 7.1 km long and a 2 MW energy recovery facility. • Spent filter backwash water is treated and over 98% is recycled to the head of the plant. • The world’s largest ultraviolet disinfection system.

  3. Includes a series of features to maximize energy efficiency. • Extensive use of sustainable and environmental technologies used in its design and construction. • The plant is fully automated and integrated with Metro Vancouver’s SCADA system.
