  5. Terry Fox A teenager who lost his leg to cancer. To help others with the disease he ran across Canada to raise money for research.

  6. Apollo A police dog in New York that fights crime. Not only has he helped catch the “bad guys”, but also he has worked as a search and rescue worker at many disaster sites looking for people.

  7. Jim Henson Over a 30 year career he made over one hundred puppets to entertain children . His most famous are the characters on Sesame Street that teach children to read and count.

  8. Martin Luther King Jr. A man who took part in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. He used non-violent means to bring equal rights to the races.
