  10. Assessment - Formative What to include….. FLE Comprehensive Language Assessment Standardized reading and math data, ST Math, DIBELS, PALS, Etc. More? What is enough?

  11. PRESENT LEVELS Where do we fit in? General – paint the picture Specific – which content area do you complete? How do we create a Targeted Goal? ELA, Math Expanded Core Curriculum for Deaf/HH https://wvde.state.wv.us/osp/ECC-DHHJanuary2013.pdf If the student who is deaf or hard of hearing does not demonstrate progress in expressive or receptive language skills as measured through an appropriate assessment tool, the IEP Team must explain the reasons for the lack of progress in meeting the language milestones or progressing towards them and recommend specific strategies, services and programs that will track the child’s success towards English literacy.

Audiological (Who is responsible?) Note Taker (What does that look like?) FM/ Handheld mics Laptop/tablet (How is utilized?) Modified assignments – Do the classroom teachers know what that means? Did you include it in the PLEPS? (Assistive Technology Grant)
