Cette présentation comprend deux parties distinctes : • Dans un premier temps, on retrouve bon nombre de statistiques sur l’évolution de la production laitière au Québec (exportations de matériel génétique, consommation de produits laitiers, taille des troupeaux, causes de réformes dans les élevages, ten-dances génétiques et phénotypiques pour les caractères d’importance économique, etc.).

  3. Dans un deuxième temps, on présente des analyses effectuées à partir de la fiche d’en-registrement des exploitations agricoles du Québec (révision 1999 de l’inscription de 1997). On y présente des comparaisons relatives au taux d’élevage pour soit l’ensemble des entreprises laitières, soit pour des segmentations en fonction de l’utilisation du contrôle laitier et de l’insémination artificielle.
