  7. Still Lifes are:- good practice- symbolic (the objects mean something)- inspired by personal likes and dislikes

  8. Did you notice geometric and organic shapes? Did you notice size variation? Did you notice how objects were arranged - the placementof objects and how they overlapped?

  9. Artists also used value in these still lifes– they showed light and dark areas

  10. How does value change how we look at artwork?What do the light areas show? What about the dark areas? Hue = color Hues can be made lighter and darker Value is made up of 2 parts – tints (light) and shades (dark) Look for the tints and shades.

  11. Don’t forget in your Still Life:- geometric and organic shapes- placement and overlapping- size variation- value – tints and shades + hue- think about how it is personal to you- be careful, take your time, do the best you can
