  6. Beethoven

  7. Beethoven was a great composer. During his life he created many beautiful and famous works. Many of his works are well kept today. At an early age, Beethoven took an interest in music, and his father taught him day and night. At the age of 8, he gave his first known public performance. Though he couldn’t hear anything any more at the age of 45, he still continued to work for his music, and he successfully finished the ninth and tenth symphony at last. It is said that he wrote a great deal more than those well-known works. There are thus hundreds of them have been available only to scholars and specialists until now.

  8. Beethoven never married. As a young man he had loved deeply one of his pupils Guicciardi, Julietta. But her father would never let her marry an ordinary person, much less a poor musician. In the sorrow of his heart, Beethoven created one of his greatest music -- the Moonlight Sonata
