  10. We are all here for YOU-for you to succeed & to enjoy this class. I will not allow you to do anything that will interfere with your success in this class. • We will be working together this year. Because I care about ALL of you, I will not allow you to do anything that will interfere with someone else who is trying to learn.

  11. I am the teacher and I’m looking forward to being your teacher this year. I have an exciting year of learning planned for you, & I will not allow you to do anything to interfere with my desire to teach you. Nor will I allow you to do anything that will interfere with all of us having an enjoyable year. • So that YOU can learn, so that WE can all learn, so that I can teach, I have set of rules to ensure that we will have a safe & orderly classroom.

  13. Rules and Policies • NO Food or Drinks. Check it at the door (includes gum and Sunflower seeds.) • HAVE ALL MATERIALS READY BEFORE BELL SOUNDS. • BE SEATED WHEN BELL RINGS. • ALWAYS RESPECT OTHERS. • BE ON TIME. • RAISE HAND AND WAIT FOR PERMISSSION TO SPEAK OR LEAVE SEAT. • “GIVE ME FIVE!!” (Practice) • Teacher’s Bell will sound. • Teacher will countdown to five.

  14. PROCEDURES • Upon entering the classroom, *retrieve textbooks, prepare supplies, and sit in assigned seat. • Immediately start bellwork. QUIETLY • Raise hands to get my attention. • If tardy, sign tardy register. • Throw all trash away at END of class.

  15. CONSEQUENCES • 1st Offense: WARNING • 2nd Offense: Student Conference • Complete Action Plan • 3rd Offense: Motivational Essay during P.E. • 4th Offense: Parent Contact • 5th & Subsequent Offense: Principal Referral

  16. Cheating If you are caught cheating or if you allow someone to cheat off your work: • You will retake/redo whatever the work is and only receive a 50% maximum! • Your parents will be informed of the cheating.

  17. CELL PHONES • If I see or hear them ring or vibrate, I will confiscate them immediately. Failure to surrender cell phone will result in an automatic referral. • The student may retrieve their cell phone after the school day ONLY!! • This include earbuds also!!

  23. Dismissal • Remain seated when bell sounds. The bell does not dismiss you, I DO.. • Clean area • Quiet • Wait for table number to be called. • Tuck in chairs when table number is called • Leave room
