What is S.A.F.E. • Students Assisting Fire Educators or commonly referred to as SAFE ,is a new exciting way to teach basic home safety to school age children and also to reinforce the message to older adults. • SAFE can be integrated into any fire dept. regardless of size • SAFE can be used at schools, retirement homes assisted living facilities, fire prevention events and anywhere fire safety can be demonstrated

  4. Why would we want SAFE Manpower: Do you have the manpower to adequately provide fire education programs. Type of Department Career Volunteer Combination

  5. How to set up SAFE • Contact your local school system. Check to see if your local high school has a theater group, drama class or service club willing to work • Write, find, borrow a script or skit on fire education. Ask the school director to help. • Recruit 8-10 students who have a flair or desire for theater and are willing to help their community. • Incorporate the students into fire dept. activities.
