  2. Earth’s description The Earth’s temperature fluctuates about 100 degrees. Earth is made of rock, water, and magma. Earth has one moon some people call luna. The time it takes Earth to rotate 1 time is 24 hours. The time it takes Earth to orbit the sun is 365 days ( unless it is a leap year then 366 days.)

  3. Distance, location, and diameter • The Earth’s distance from the sun is 149,600,000 km from the sun. The distance in AU is 1. • The diameter of the Earth is exactly 12,756.3 km in size. • The obvious fact about Earth is that it is round like the other planets.
