  2. The aim of this presentation is to help students learn the differences between some English words that are very often confused with one another. One Russian word may have two or more English translations. There are a lot of such words. But which ones does one choose and how must they be used?

  3. TO HOLD, TO KEEP To hold means to have in the hands,to support with the hand To keep means to preserve or to maintain (хранить) The lady is holding the mobile telephone in her hand. The American keeps his dollars in a big sack.
