  2. Pronouns A pronoun is a word that is used in place of one or more nouns or pronouns. Examples: He, she, its, my, yours, ours Ask Kevin if he’scooked dinner.

  3. Pronouns and Antecedents An antecedent is the word or word group that a pronoun stands for or refers to. Examples: Fredrick, have you turned in your report yet? Walking the dogis fun, and it’s great exercise.
