  1. Mrs. Amy Mitchell Classroom Procedures Mt. Olivet Elementary 3rd Grade

Morning Procedures • Enter room quietly. • Put your homework/Tuesday folder in the correct basket and hang your book bag up. • Student of the Week will pass out the food items for breakfast. • Juice is out in the hall in the crate. You get what you want to drink. • Choose lunch on the SmartBoard. One at a time. • Turn in lunch money or notes to teacher. • Sharpen pencils. • Complete all morning work quietly at your seat while eating breakfast.

  3. Lining up / hallway procedures • Wait for your teacher to call your group. • Line up quietly in a straight line NO TALKING and push your chair in. • Walk on the 3rd block in a straight line. • ABSOLUTLY NO TALKING IN THE HALL!! • If you see someone that you know may wave at them!

  5. Bathroom Breaks and Sharpening Pencils • We use the bathroom in the classroom. Raise your hand and ASK if you may use the restroom. • If you need to sharpen your pencil, you may get up and sharpen it without asking. DO NOT STAND IN LINE TO SHARPEN YOUR PENCIL!!! Wait at your seat until the person is finished before getting up. • DO NOT get up to sharpen your pencil when the teacher is teaching in front of the class.

  6. Lunch Procedures • Get all items when you go through line the FIRST time. You will not be allowed to go back through the line for extras. • Make sure you go to the restroom before lunch time. You will not be allowed to leave the lunchroom to go to the restroom unless it is an absolute emergency. • Talk quietly to your friends at your table. • When lunch is over wait on your teacher to call your table before dumping your trays and lining up.

  7. Recess Procedures • We leave the building using the door by the fish tank to go to the playground. • Once leaving the room the line leader will stop at the corner passed Mrs. Turton’s room and at the door going outside. • NO TALKING IN THE HALL!!!! • When playing KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF. • When I yell “Let’s Go” line up at the door that we used to come outside. Once everyone is quiet we will enter the school.

  8. Turning Papers In • The turn in box is right next to the folder basket at the front of the room. • PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR PAPER BEFORE TURNING IT IN!!! • You may get up and turn your paper in without asking.

  9. End of the Day Packing Up • You will need to have your planners and folders on your desks when packing up. • I will give you papers for YOU to put in your folders. • It is YOUR RESPONSIBILTY to put the papers in your folder. • You will also need to turn to the correct day in your planner so that I may put your daily behavior in your planner. • It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to do your homework and to get your planner initialed every night. • Wait for your group to be called to get your things. • When you are packed, stack your chairs and line up.
