  1. Stadium Design There are no current restrictions to the stadium design except for versatility of a retractable roof. These are some model stadiums with a retractable roof design. Rays Stadium: Originally introduced in 2008, this design calls for a retractable tarp that will keep the elements out while still offering an open air feeling. Estimated cost is $450 million.

  2. Marlins Stadium: Currently under construction in Miami, this stadium design calls for a retractable roof that slides off the stadium completely. When covered, the stadium will be air-conditioned and offer indoor comfort. Estimated cost is $600 million.
