He serves or has recently served on several boards including: the board of the American Clinical Laboratory Association; Board of Scientific Counselors, Centers for Disease Control; and Association for Molecular Pathology. A couple of years ago, as CEO of and in behalf of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML) he accepted the Frost and Sullivan Award in Boston.
