  2. Introduction • Blah blah blah blah Boo! Made you look. • I am going to be talking about Halloween. • Does that word give you the chills? Halloween is not just about CANDY people! It was not fun long ago.

  3. History • Halloween started more than 2,000 years ago. • Halloween got its name from Hallows Eve. • In England kids went door asking for cakes and candy. If they don’t get it from the person … the kids will play a trick • On you. That's how you get the name Trick • Or Treat.Ha,ha,ha.People used to think

  4. History • Witches could turn into black cats .Now you know that Moms freak out about bats. • Well people thought that bats only came out on Halloween night. Weird! Some leaders asked for food and money to people. And if they refused they would tell • You that harm would come to you. So people gave food and money to them.

  5. Celebrated • Halloween in America is trick-or treating and • Dressing up in costumes as you go. • People in America decorate their homes with ghosts, witches, pumpkins, bats, and scary stuff. • However, Mexico people honor the spirits. • On the night of November1, the girls and women come into the graveyard and put plant of the food to the spirits

  6. Celebrated • Of the loved ones . • The men and boys would sing out outside the graveyard. • On the festival of Shamian. [ a new Celts year.] At the beginning of the new year it starts getting colder and the sun doesn’t really come out anymore… • They throw a party for the sun. Stupid! They throw food in a bonfire. • The French kids asked for flowers.

  7. What You See • Flowers, and decorations the churches and graveyards. • You will see bats, black cats, pumpkins, skeleton, spiders, CANDY, witches, ghosts, goblins, vampires, monsters, and much more!

  8. Ending • So if you go trick – or – treating, and your brother or sister ask when did Halloween start? • Or long ago did people have fun? You will say here we go again. • You can see Halloween started long ago and people celebrate in different ways. • Trick – Treat give me something good to eat. If you don’t I’ll pull down your underwear.
