  2. To work on the development of a whole child through imparting relevant knowledge, using 21st century skills Long Term Goal

  3. Short Term Goals: To make sure each student is confident enough to handle the PC and commands Black Cat logo and Information workshop 2000. To give patronage to students in cultivating the sense of use of technology. To make sure students are present through out the term by creating interest through activities and teaching methodologies. To make sure students are well aware of ABCD of behavior.

  4. Which skills can help us go with the new technology?

  5. The Answer is revealed: The 21st CENTURY SKILLS

  6. The 21st Century Skills means:

  7. Bloom’s Application: When we start a chapter students need to have prior information for which we brainstorm them. That is Remembering. Then we make them understand the new chapter that is understanding. We discuss how can it be applied in daily life that is applying the newly learned concept. Then different questioning is done from their side to analyze are they getting what we basically want from them. Then we evaluate them by testing them. Now we ask questions. Then they put into practice what they have learnt in their daily life. A sample is placed in my instructional lesson plan.

  11. 21st Century Skills Problem identification, formulation and solution. Information and literacy media rate scale skills. Critical thinking and system thinking. ICT Skills Developed: Loading the software Changing the Level Data base File addition and Editing Sorting and search data.

Approaches: Observing and Monitoring skills Questioning Skills Listening and speaking skills( sound reasoning) Suggested Teaching Activities: Collect example of different graphs Consider how to frame question. Discuss with them how different graphs differentiate data Listening and speaking skills( sound reasoning)

  13. Techniques Distinguish, investigate, separate, compare research, analyze, arrange and diagram. Question, inquire, experiment , research, inspect, examine. Separate, distinguish, compare and analyze.

  16. 21st Century Skills Problem identification, formulation and solution. Creativity and intellectual curiosity. Critical thinking and system thinking. ICT Skills Developed: Loading BlackCat Logo. Giving instructions using FD, BK, RT, LT,ST Repeat, HOME, PU, PD CS, LABEL[ ], HT, Changing Pen color, width and style. Undo and Redo.

  17. Approaches: Giving Directions. Questioning Skills Giving Direction skills (using commands) Suggested Teaching Activities: By drawing the corners by working with angles and turns. Ask 2 or 3 students to draw in front of class. Throw the Pen using Net-OP software. Make children the turtle and take turns.

  18. Techniques Design, Compose, Assemble, Imagine, Diagram. Categorize, Determine and Evaluate Design, Plan, Distinguish, Separate and Diagram.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT In the beginning I would thanks and acknowledge very helping Head Ms Soofia Shezad, very dedicated Tutor, Ms Sadaf and very bold and smart Tutor, Ms Marium for their continuous support and countless effort during the course. They really provided us a very good learning environment, where we were very comfortable. I would also like to thanks all my colleagues who were really very cooperative during the course. Last but not the least the domestic staff who provided us very good services during lunch break. My whole hearted thanks to INTEL, for providing me a platform where I can prepare my own Action Plan for ICT curriculum of the 2nd Term, which will really help me become better teacher inshaAllah.

  23. Conclusion:As teachers we have to give our time and lot of burning effort to all our students. When we keep on doing things then it becomes our routine not a work or extra effort.

  31. Appendix 4: ABCD of behavior Level A: A for Anarchy Anarchy is the lowest level of behavior. The word comes from Greek and literally means “without rule”. This level refers to absence of government, aimlessness and chaos. e.g fighting in the class, not raising hand while answering, etc. Level B: B for Bullying Bullying is the level after anarchy. A student behaving at this level violates the courtesies of class operations and accepted standards. The bully attempts to become the ruler by making rules. We make our biggest mistake in not understanding the nature of the bully. If bullying prevails, irresponsible and provocative (aggressive) behavior will be repeated. e.g to boss or tease others, throwing rubber on each other, etc Level C: C for Conformity Conformity is the next level of behavior and is as essential for classroom decorum as it is for a civil society. No society can exists without some measure of conformity. The term means complying (obeying) to cooperate with expected standards. The key concept of Level C is that the motivation is external. The motivation comes because someone is monitoring, not on their own. e.g class is quiet due to the teacher’s presence. Level D: D for Democracy Democracy is the highest level of behavior development, at this level motivation to be responsible is internal. e.g class is quiet even in the teacher’s absence knowing the classroom norms.
