  3. HOWWE PRAY • Persistently (Neh 1:4; 2:1; Deut 9:18-29) • Spontaneously (Neh 2:1-4; 1 Thess 5:17) • Collectively (Neh 1:11; 9:1-3; Jas 5:13-16)

  4. REQUIREMENTSOF PRAYER • Praise To God (Neh 1:5-6, 11) • Puts His Character In Perspective • Puts His Authority In Perspective • Confess Personal Sin (Neh 1:7; Dan 9:5; Ezra 9:15; 1 John 1:9) • Ask For His Promises (Neh 1:8-11; Lev 26:33; Deut 30:2-5) • Commit Personally (Neh 1:11; Phil 3:8)

  5. WHAT PRAYER DOES • Affirms God’s Power (Neh 1:5; Acts 4:23-28) • Establishes Our Identity As His People (Neh 1:6-7; Acts 4:29-31) • Rebukes What Seems Impossible (Neh 1:8-11) • The saints obeyed Christ by praying for what seemed impossible (Matt 9:38; Acts 4:24-30)

  6. The spiritual ruins that exist all around us demand that we pray daily.
