  3. Hybrid TV •  Concept, definition, standard:  • Concept and definition: We can think about Hybrid TV term as very broad range of product and service. Any product and service that using broadcast channel for live content and using broadband channel for enhanced service can considered as "hybrid". • Why we need hybrid?  • Most of broadcast channel now is one-way oriented: DTH, DVB-T and even cable.    • Most of broadband now is point to point oriented: Though many research and technology encouraged now to resolve this problem as P2P, CDN, Cloud computing. Broadband itself, is still not ideal for TV. • So if we build a hybrid infrastructure we can combine the best of both world(broadcast, broadband).

Hybrid TV • Standard: There are several standards now providing Hybrid service. • GE-MHP • MHEG-IC • OTT • HbbTV  • 02 first standards, GE-DVB and MHEG-IC is extend of 02 existing Interactive TV standards by DVB and MHEG.  • OTT can be considered as de-factor standard.  • HbbTV is new and developing standard, having trial in German, France and some other Europe countries.
