ACTFL & CEF Equivalences Proposal submitted by DC faculty in Dec 09 Bologna’s feedback ACTFL CEFR Intermediate Low A1 Intermediate Mid A 2 Intermediate High B1 Advanced Low B2 Advanced Mid B2 Advanced High/Plus C1 Superior C2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages A1 = Novice HighA2 = Inter LowB1 = Inter MidB1+ = Inter HighB2 = Adv LowB2+ = Adv MidC1 = Adv High / General Functional Superior (level 3 in ILR)C2 = Full Functional Superior (level 4 in ILR) • 1. Levels • "A1" equals Novice level; but don’t think it’s NH. • "A2" is definitely Intermediate Low • I like their using "plus" to mark performance differences. • 2.
