NICAD National Interagency Computer Aided Sub Committee • Mission Statement - The National Interagency Computer Aided Dispatch Sub Committee (NICAD), comprised of subject matter experts, provides leadership in the standardization of data elements and user best practices for maintenance and development of current and future CAD programs.

  3. NICAD National Interagency Computer Aided Sub Committee • Primary objectives include: • Study and maintain current CAD program elements for retention of historical information and reports; • Identify and refine baseline CAD Business Requirements; • Provide input to Project Work Statement documents to support business case(s); • Establish national CAD standards in regards to data integration; • Provide CAD user community representation for each Geographic Area; • Monitor CAD change requests, prioritize, and recommend program enhancements through proper channels.

  5. With current expiration of the contract in 2020 the committee is currently involved with: The current CAD system will not go away O&M • Gathering requirements • Defining alternatives • Exploring what the Next Gen system looks like to support the user community

  6. The NICAD committee distributed a user survey in March and all information was consolidated and put forward. If you did not have the opportunity to provide feedback and would still like to please contact your geographic area committee member.
