Our Mascot Needs a Name!!!  Hi, Friends!  I need a name!  Can you help?!This friendly coyote wants to help make a difference in our community by engaging Midlanders in litter prevention, waste reduction and beautification.  Can you think of a clever name that encapsulates his cause?  If so, enter the KMB Naming Contest with your best name for a chance to win four (4) tickets to a Rockhounds game, concession certificates, two Rockhounds caps, and a chance to throw out the first pitch at the game!

Do you have what it takes to name the KMB Coyote? • Here’s how to enter: • Submit your name to KMB by going to the www.facebook.com/KeepMidlandBeautiful contest page and fill out an entry form (or) send an entry by mail to KMB at P.O.   5. Phone Book Recycling Contest Have some fun while your helping save room in our landfills and reduce waste. Contest between December 2nd to 6th. Bring your outdated PHONE BOOKS during that week! School with the most pounds WINS! PRIZES ARE: • 1st $500 CASH • 2nd $300 CASH • 3rd $200 CASH

  6. We had a great basketball tournament on Friday! Boys Division: Girls Division: 1st Place: Get Some 2nd Place: JCRM • 1st place= Street Ballers • 2nd place=Shake and Bake • 3rd place=Sonics  Thank you to everyone who participated!

  7. Juniors FundraiserCandle Cafe • The candles are great quality and make awesome gifts (mom, grandma, teachers, etc.)  See any Junior or Mrs. Langford for an order form.  Make checks payable to ECHS@MC.  The fundraiser is over on Thursday, so see them soon! • Juniors - Candle order forms with money are due on Thursday. Checks must be to ECHS@MC, not the Candle Cafe.  No exceptions.  If you have sold/bought your three, turn in your money to Mrs. Langford ASAP. • Seniors - This money is for your Prom!!  Help us out.  See a Junior or Mrs. Langford for a candle.

  8. YOUTH ALIVE On Thursday, November 21, Youth Alive is hosting a 'hat day' fundraiser. All students may wear a hat on that day if they pay $3. Money needs to be given to Mrs. Pinkerton in Marie Hall 220. In return, you will be given a wristband to wear on that day as proof of payment. No wristband? - No hat!

  9. If you would like to purchase a Youth Alive t-shirt, please find a Youth Alive leader or Mrs. Pinkerton to order. Theyare only $10! Orders are due Monday, November 25th.Are you interested in a leadership position for Youth Alive? Please see Mrs. Pinkerton (Marie Hall 220) to get an application. They are due Thursday, November 21.

Fall Potluck DinnerBring your family to celebrate a semester of success. • Where: Abell Junior High 3201 Heritage Boulevard (across from Lowes) • When: TONIGHT, November 21 at 6 p.m. • What to bring: Seniors: Desserts, Juniors: Side Dishes,Sophomores: Side Dishes, Freshman: Meat Dishes • Why?
