  1. 12 October, 1492 Dearest Family, Dear mother and father, I hate how Christopher Columbus is treating me. I am riding the Santa Maria and we have been riding for 70 days and nights. Now I am very tired and Christopher Columbus is the leader of my boat. We started in Spain and we ended in Guanahaniand every night I spend time in my hammock crying. I hope you are taking care of my stuff. Some people speak all kinds of languages. One person grabbed the sowed by the blade . When everyone saw twigs in the water we knew we were getting close . The whole boat went crazy. We traded with the Tainosparrots, balls of cotton , hawksbills‘, spears and many other things .love ,Carson
